Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Newark, New Jersey

This is the National Historic Landmark church and the 5th largest cathedral in North America. John Ballantine House

The John Ballantine House was built in 1885 by the celebrated Newark beer-brewing family. Originally the house held 27 rooms - 8 bedrooms and3 bathrooms. In 1985 this brick and limestone mansion was designated a National Historic Landmark. The house's two floors are coined as "House & Home", which features 8 period rooms, thematic galleries and two hallways. The furnishings, upholstery and all things in the house depict the 1650s era. The first-floor include the Parlor, the Billiard Room, the Reception Room, the Dining Room and the Library. The John Ballantine House is a part of the Newark Museum and follows regular museum hours.
